Crafty goodness!

I've been making this baby owl mobile for my sister, who is having her first bub in February.

How cute is it? It's made from socks, baby socks! fabric and felt. I bought the pattern from Craft Schmaft, a lovely, Australian based craft blogger who makes lots of cute softies from socks.

(These are the owls before I put the mobile together.)

To buy the pattern for this mobile, head on over to the Craft Schmaft store.

Baking!

Baked some shortbread today. Haven't done any baking in a while. It was nice. This is fairly simple to make, and I thought stars were nice coming into Christmas. They turned out nice and crumbly, but still buttery and melt in your mouth delicious. Yum Yum!

Looking Tree

Indecision, creates division, between you and me. Now I'm sitting with our looking tree. I used to have loving arms, this man had charms, but not today...
See my looking tree.

Taking it in

Here's Lauren & I on top of Mount Buffalo in Victoria, taking it all in whilst we take some pics. Although in saying that, we didn't get too much from up there, but I love this image cause it shows how we were kinda in awe of everything around us. It was beautiful...

Goat....so serious

I love taking pics of Goat when she's so pensive...this is at a cafe in Narrabundah, Canberra. Chilling out on a Saturday morning waiting for our coffee & banana bread.

Half frame fun

These are some of the first shots from my original Olympus Pen-EES half frame camera. Made in the 60's, these cameras were design to be affordable and economical. Being a half frame, you can take an astounding 72 pics on a 36 roll of film!! Endless fun!

And I love the random pairing you get with the 2 half frame images on the 1 full frame.

Through the looking glass

I am a bit of a daydreamer during road trips. I stare out the window and think of the places passing me by, the lives that have been lived there, and the lives that might follow. Dean and I are often taking little car trips here and there, and we've started shooting what we see along the way...

...and I couldn't resist this guy

Stay tuned for more!

More Holga fun...

some more shots I took on a recent road trip to Beechworth in Victoria. Toy cameras are fun, they take the pressure off worrying about perfect exposures and composition. I love carrying mine around with me when exploring new places.

Welcome!

Welcome to our good friend Purrsikat! We've invited her to be part of our collective and to contribute to the blog. Hopefully you'll see some great stuff from her soon!!
